Easter Weekend and March Madness

Trent had 4 days off for the Easter holiday- YEAH! Every year we usually try to go somewhere new but we decided to stay at home and relax this time. We made Easter egg nests, colored eggs, and had our egg hunts. The Easter Bunny left his jelly bean trail to the kids' baskets. We also got to listen to conference which I always look forward to! I was especially grateful this time and felt it was very uplifting. Jace on the other hand was watching at the computer, and fell asleep! He still argues that he didn't sleep, he just closed his eyes for a while!
We also stayed up to watch the NCAA tournament championship. We had a family bracket that we each filled out and had our own little bets. We each picked something that each family member had to do for us if we won. And the winner this year: AMARI!!! She picked so many upsets, and even had Butler in the final four and Duke winning! Jace had to do her chores for the day, Trent had to give her a massage, and I had to cook her favorite breakfast, lunch, dinner, and favorite treat! It is fun to have this tradition in our family! Everyone cheers during every game, and are always checking the brackets to see if they are winning!

Flat Stanley

We had a visit from Flat Stanley all the way from Idaho! Our cousin Brianna needed to do a school project with him, so we took him around our town of Imola to see the sights and take pictures to send back home.
We also had the opportunity of having Jace's teacher from his school back home stop in to visit. We took her and her husband around our town and showed them some sights. It was fun to see some familiar faces!

Shoes Shoes and more Shoes!

What can I say Trent loves his shoes! I took this picture in November when I actually had taken inventory of all the shoes he had stashed away! I had to blog about it because no one ever believes me or they think I am story time when I tell about how many shoes he collects over the year. This tower is cut in half now, he is really hard on shoes and goes through them just as quick as he gets them. Good thing for Nike contracts!
